LD 1108 would deceptively redefine “smoking” to include “an electronic cigarette giving off vapor” for the purpose of including vaping in Maine’s anti-smoking law. Although current law provides an exemption for smoking in tobacco shops, the same exemption would not be afforded to vapor shops.
